NRA BASIC PISTOL

* Meets the State requirement for a Safe Gun Handling class on the CCW application.

This class is given twice weekly and is a must for responsible NJ firearms owners.

PURPOSE:
This course is intended for all individuals regardless, of previous shooting experience, who wish to learn the basics of shooting a pistol.

AREAS OF FOCUS:

  • Gun safety rules

  • Proper operation of semi-automatic pistols and revolvers

  • Ammunition knowledge and selection

  • Pistol selection and storage

  • Shooting fundamentals;

  • Pistol inspection and maintenance

  • Marksmanship and

  • Shooting Range Safety

​EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:

  • Pistol (semi-automatic or revolver).    

  • 50 rds of ammunition.            

  • Hearing and eye protection.
